25.1.0_BRI_flange_stiffeners_U_girder

Bottom-flange longitudinal stiffeners can now be specified for steel U-girder bridges using the steel beam editor. The stiffeners are accounted for in analysis as well as superstructure strength design and rating requests. Layout options include the longitudinal start and end position, transverse ratios, orientation and insertion-point location.

Comprehensive design calculation reports have been added for Chinese JTG 3362-2018 bridge superstructure design checks for shear, torsion, and combined shear and torsion.

24.2.0_BRI_temp_loads_rail_tracks

Temperature loads can now be applied to rail tracks. Loads can vary along the length of the track. Nonlinear analysis can capture slippage at the track supports, and linear or nonlinear buckling of the track under temperature loading can be analyzed.

Temperature loads applied to bridge objects are now automatically applied to their tendons when the tendons are modeled as elements.

Bridge Design and Rating

24.1.0_BRI_AASHTO_LRFD_2020_substructure_columns

The strength design of substructure (bent) columns has been added according to the AASHTO LRFD 2020 code. Design is controlled by defining one or more Design Requests which can specify a set of load combinations, bent columns, column stations, and other parameters to be considered. Results for each Design Request are provided in the form of an Excel spreadsheet that can be used for further calculations and for inclusion in reports. Design results are also available in database tables for display, export, and reporting.

Bridge tendon layout can now be parametrically defined directly with respect to any girder as well as the bridge layout line.

Modeling of closure pours at double-bearing bents for concrete precast I-girder and Super-T girder bridges is now available. This can be used to simulate a live-load continuous superstructure or full integral continuity with the substructure.
