Academic pricing is available to universities who wish to install CSI software in a campus computer lab for student use. Academic pricing may be requested by a faculty member with a university email address, by submitting a Sales Inquiry below. Additionally, an Academic Use Letter must be submitted by email to sales@csiamerica.com by a dean or department head, confirming that the licenses will remain within the control of the university and that the software will be used strictly for non-commercial teaching and academic purposes. The Academic Use Letter must be submitted by someone who has administrative authority at the university (i.e., a dean or department head.) A discounted professor license may be purchased along with academic licenses, for teaching and lesson planning purposes. A professor license may not be purchased separately from academic licenses.
Student Version of SAP2000
A student version of SAP2000 is available and may be requested by a professor with a valid university email address, on a student’s behalf, by sending an email to sales@csiamerica.com. Students may not request the software directly. The student version has the following limitations: Models with more than 100 point objects cannot be saved. Linear analysis is limited to models with up to 100 analysis joints. Nonlinear analysis is limited to models with up to 30 analysis joints.
